How can i remove the internet explorer from my computer?? there is no option in the add/remove and there is nowindows xp home

To do this you will have to have upgraded your os if it is xp atleast to service pack I. That service pack provides you the menu for uninstalling internet explorer. Upgrade your os to sp1 or sp2 (these are free downloads from microsoft), after upgrade you will see internet explorer listed in your add remove programme menu.

In Add or Remove look on the left side for Add/Remove windows components click it IE is there.

Outlook is also in their seperatly
You do not want to delete Internet Explorer as a whole. It could lead to corrupted system files and your Outlook Express can become corrupted as well. If you are getting a lot of pop-ups, it is probably because you are infected with malware and need to run your resident security products such as antivirus and antispyware. If you haven't any antispyware applications, here are a few freebies you can download and run.

SuperAntispyware

Spybot S%26amp;D (free version requires manual updating)

AVG AntiSpyware

Adaware from Lavasoft (free version requires automatic updating)

(These programs can be run in Safe Mode after downloading and updating)
Hi,

Just go on control panel

Go to add remove programs

Then go to windows components

Then uncheck internet explorer

Now click ok and the os will remove it for you

If u have any questions ask me.

Good Luck!
Even if you cant figure out how to get rid of it, you could try getting a toolbar that blocks pop ups...the google or yahoo toolbars would work.
