Yahoo mail won't load?

this is an intermittent problem. (i'm not currently having it, but likely will again, i guess.) i have a secondary yahoo mail account and no with that one (even when my "main" account won't open). i am NOT using Beta version for either account.

i use Firefox; i don't have Messenger downloaded (well, thru Trillion); i've cleared my cache; i re-downloaded and installed Shockwave and Flash player -- but if it were any of these things, then both mail accounts wouldn't work. right? i also tried IE and it didn't work there either.

anyone else having this problem, or any ideas how to fix?

i did send an email to yahoo help - got a confirmation email that they received my question and were working on it. haven't heard anything else from them, and it's been a few days.

My best guess is that your problematic account may be on a flakey server. Yahoo has many mail servers, and may be having problems with some of them. And - lucky you - your main account is on a bad one!

They've almost always gotten back to me when I've reported problems, but sometimes you need to remind them. You have the problem ticket number on the confirmation email, so just send them a gentle reminder saying that you still are waiting to hear from them. But be nice - this is, after all, a free service they're providing, and as the saying goes - you get what you pay for. In the case of Yahoo, however, we get a lot more than we pay for.
