Why doesnt java work on my internet explorer 7 final ?windows xp service

Above all JAVA isnot JAVASCRIPT

Problem:: Asuming that you are talking about real JAVA cos certainly online virus scan need that.

1)You havent enabled you java in IE-7

2)You Might've disabled it while you were installing IE

3)You might not have JRE(java runtime enviroment) installed in your computer.

Solution ::

1) %26amp; 2) You goto Tools%26gt;%26gt;Internetoptions%26gt;%26gt;Advanced%26gt;%26gt;restor... advance settings

3) goto

http://java.sun.com/

and download latest JRE

I am pretty sure this will definetly help

Cheers:)

If you are using Sun java, get rid of it. Go to http://www.programmingsource.net and get the MSJVM (microsoft java virtual machine) from the Misc section of the downloads.
I'd stick with Sun's JVM - Microsoft will be discontinuing support for theirs this year.

Are you certain it's Java that isn't working and not JavaScript?

If the sites concerned are ones you use a lot and are reasonably well known you can add them to your Trusted Sites which has lower permissions than the general internet profile which allows online apps to work more easily.

To see whether your browser is configured to use the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or not, first open the Windows Control Panel. From the Start menu button, select Settings, then Control Panel to open the Control Panel. You should see the Java Coffee Cup logo icon in the Control Panel.

1) Double-click the icon to open the Java Control Panel.

2) In the Java Control Panel, click the Advanced tab.

(switch to classic view for more options)

3) Under Settings, click on + icon against %26lt;Applet%26gt; tag support.

4) Make sure the box next to Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Mozilla is checked.

5) If it is not checked, click the checkbox to enable the JRE for your Web browser.

6) Click Apply.

Im sure this should help.
Internet Explorer 7 FINAL 7.0.5730.11

1 First download and install the latest version of the SUN JVM.

2 If you are asked to restart your computer, please do so.

3Open Internet Explorer. Click on Tools, then Internet Options.

Please Note: If you are using Internet Explorer 6, Tools will be located at the top of the page. If you are using Internet Explorer 7, Tools will be located on the right-hand side under the search bar.

4 The Internet Options window should open. At the top, click the tab that says Advanced.

5 Scroll down to the section Java (Sun).

6 UNcheck the box next to Use JRE 1.6.0_01.

Please Note: The version number of the JRE may vary depending on what version of the Sun JVM is installed (i.e. JRE 1.50_09).

7 Click Apply. Then Click OK to close Internet Options.

8 may be need to restart your computer

good luck
