I have been unable to access my Yahoo! email for the past week. I continually get error code 5 and the answers from Customer Care are the cut and paste variety. I am not sure what else to do to get onto the e-mail system.
1. I have eliminated my cookies
2. Emptied my cache/History/files etc.
3. I can access mailbox for other yahoo accounts from computers no problem. Just this particular account is proving problematic.
4. Have tried to ope using IE versions 6 and 7, Firefox (PC and Mac) versions, Safari (versions 2 and 3 (beta) for mac and PC version)), Omniweb, Camino and Netscape. All show the same temporary problem.
What else can anybody suggest apart from the useless morons at Customer Care.

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. If you look you will find lots of people cannot send/receive/delete mail at the moment. I was advised to uninstall Javascript and then reinstall the latest version from http://www.java.com/. You could also try http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer for the latest Flash player. This worked for me. If it does not for you then apparently it's only in the all new version. Try returning to the Classic version for now.
