2003 kia sedona door locks?

I cannot lock/unlock any door electronically, meaning either with the keyless entry or by pushing the "all locks" button on the doors. We had to replace the alternator prior to this problem, is that what caused it? All other electrical devices work. ie windows, stereo, lights etc. Would like as much advance knowledge before having to deal with dealership

You will have to go to the dealer anyway,the body control module has probably been erased,it does not recognize the signal from the key fob or door switch input,it needs to be reprogrammed.(for your info this is called code saving)

i dont have an answer, but i have a kia sportage (2001) and i have the same problem...but i didnt have a problem with my alternator....just one day, the door locks stopped working.....when i press the keyless entry the interior light goes on but the doors do not open....what is weird about it is if the passenger door is opened around the same time i open my driver's door and i press the lock down...all of the doors lock....i cant figure out why.....but i havent fixed it....i just live with it.....
