Computer working slow?

hi, i got updates and i installed them.. it was service pack 2 and after i installed those updates i got what i wanted but a problem which is my computer goin way too slow, in opera, ie, firefox in all browsers when i click on any link or go to any link it freezes gets normal after few mins but it is taking way too long, also after i click on any program it opens after few mins as well.. first it was opening right away..

anyway to solve it?

You just downloaded service pack 2 on an XP machine?

1.) Your computer is problably old. It should have about 512mb of RAM. If it doesn't, install more RAM and your computer will run faster.

2.) Service Pack 1 for XP had known security risks. Given that SV2 came out years ago, you might have a lot of viruses slowing down your computer.
first do a disk clean up and/or a disk defragmentor, then restart your computer, see if that helps, if it doesn't, you're probably might wanna think about getting some memory for it. which basically you have to open up the computer see which memory type you have go buy like 512MB or 1GB and install it and it should help.

A RAM upgrade might help if you are running low. Also its recommended that everytime you install or delete a large number of files/programs you should run the disk defragmenter. For example after the updates and especially if you havent till now, the drive may be fragmented.
